Special categories in society such as the poor, divorced and widowed individuals, and people with special needs are segments of the community. Since these segments have lost their breadwinners or have very low-income sources, they are in dire need of a sense of psychological, social, and economic security. This project aims to empower these categories by providing them with training and skills development in suitable professions and crafts that align with the needs of the community, enabling them to have a sustainable source of income.

Project Justifications

  • There are many special categories who have no income or very low incomes, such as widows, divorced individuals, the poor, and people with special needs. The number of individuals in these categories is increasing due to disasters, wars, and other factors, and they have multiple needs that require addressing.
  • There is a significant desire among many people to help these special categories, but they face difficulties in reaching out to them directly. The project fulfills their desire to contribute by assisting these special categories.
  • There is a rise in social problems, family breakdowns, divorces, unemployment, and health issues as consequences of poverty and crises.

Project Goals

  • Equipping the beneficiaries with essential skills in professions and crafts that are in demand in the local community, providing them with sustainable future income opportunities
  • Reducing psychological, social, and economic problems associated with poverty resulting from crises and disasters
  • Contributing to the vocational training of needy families in professions and crafts suitable for their environment, enabling them to utilize their resources effectively and strive for self-sufficiency and independence from continuous support

The Beneficiaries

  • Total: 120 individuals
  • Direct beneficiaries: 100 individuals
  • Indirect beneficiaries: 20 individuals (families of project employees)

Expected Results

  • Enable more than a hundred families from special and needy categories to acquire the necessary skills for the most sought-after professions and trades in the community, thus providing them with a future source of income.
  • Contribute to supporting and improving the quality of life for the targeted families, and reduce social, psychological, economic, and health problems.
