MRS. ZEBEDA INITIATIVE
The Abbasid Caliph Harun al-Rashid's wife, Mrs. Zebeda, was well-known for her substantial riches. She helped the underprivileged, academics, and accomplished doctors with her wealth. In order to supply pilgrims with water, she constructed "Ain Zebeda" in 828 AD. She also founded "Darb Zebeda," a famous caravan route that ran from Kufa to Mecca.
This initiative bears her name in remembrance of her legacy of providing food and water to the underprivileged and tourists. This project focuses on humanitarian efforts, like feeding and housing the homeless who are impacted by natural disasters, armed conflicts, and other global crises.
