Alhamdulillah, with the support of our donors, funding has been completed for the first 5 of our 10 planned deep, solar-powered artesian wells in Togo and Benin. We are halfway there and now working to fund the remaining five wells.

In remote African villages, access to clean water remains a difficult daily struggle. Mothers and children may walk for kilometres to reach sources exposed to surface contamination, creating serious health risks for children, older people and other vulnerable community members.
The Messenger of Allah ﷺ was asked, “Which charity is best?” He replied, “Water.”

Sources close to the surface may be more vulnerable to contamination and seasonal change, and often have limited capacity.
DEEP ARTESIAN WELL
An Integrated Water System
Deep drilling is combined with a solar-powered pump, elevated storage tank and distribution points.

The village and project site are identified.
2. Geological Study
The most suitable drilling point is selected.
3. Installation
The well and solar system are installed.
4. Handover
The completed project is opened and appropriately documented.
Our Field Experience
We draw on our experience from water projects across Africa, Gaza, Yemen and Bangladesh. Once funding and planning are complete, implementation generally takes approximately 4–6 months, depending on site and seasonal conditions. Appropriate stages are documented through photographs and videos.
