In crisis zones, war-torn areas, and remote villages, thousands of children are forced to drop out of school because they cannot afford the most basic supplies, or they must work to support their families. Simultaneously, teachers stand helpless to fulfill their noble mission due to a lack of livelihood. At the Hürrem Sultan Foundation, we believe that knowledge is the light that dispels the darkness of suffering. Therefore, we have launched comprehensive education projects, inviting you to be a partner in creating hope.

Our Educational Projects: How Do You Make a Difference?

We have designed our projects to cover all pillars of the educational process, ensuring the student continues their studies from day one until graduation:

  • School Bags and Stationery: The student's first step starts here. We provide fully equipped school bags containing all necessities (notebooks, pens, geometry sets) for orphaned and needy children. This lifts the financial burden off their families and brings joy to their faces at the start of every academic year.
  • Student Sponsorship and Support: Many brilliant minds drop out of schools and universities due to extreme poverty. Through this project, we provide monthly or semesterly financial grants to cover tuition fees, transportation, and accommodation for students, allowing them to focus entirely on building their future.
  • Teacher Support (Guardians of Knowledge): The teacher is the cornerstone. In areas of war and severe poverty, teachers continue to fulfill their mission despite their salaries being cut off for months or years. We provide financial support (teacher sponsorship) to school and Quran memorization teachers, ensuring they can continue to build generations while securing a dignified life for their families.

Education is not just about classrooms; it is the only lifeline for millions of children to break the cycle of poverty, ignorance, and war. Your donation to education projects today is an ongoing charity (Sadaqah Jariyah) whose impact extends into the mind of every student and every letter they learn to benefit their community.

Frequently Asked Questions

Yes, absolutely. Supporting a student or a teacher is one of the greatest forms of Sadaqah Jariyah. Every letter the student learns, and every knowledge they benefit from or teach others in the future, will be recorded in your scale of good deeds, multiplied manifold by the will of Allah, even after your passing.

Yes, it is permissible to give Zakat to a poor or needy student who cannot find enough to cover their study and living expenses. They fall under the legitimate Zakat categories (the poor and the needy), and some scholars have even included them under the category of "In the cause of Allah" (Fi Sabilillah).

You can easily donate the value of one or more bags by selecting the "School Bag" project on our website. Your donation will cover the cost of a fully equipped bag and stationery sufficient for a student for an entire academic year.

We direct your donations to the most affected and needy areas based on the assessments of our field committees. We strongly focus on displacement and refugee camps in countries like Gaza, Sudan, Yemen, and deprived villages across the African and Asian continents.
